When I had their spring rolls at the OH grand opening, I thought they had lost their way and wondered into the messy arena of Asian fusion (Viet cross Japanese?  Get out!).  Browsing thru recent yelp reviews and pics, looks like still majority Japanese and mostly high reviews drew us back to try once more.

Unagi (urchin) pasta

Kids meal was $6.50, not bad, comes with ice cream as well.  Chicken wings were tasty, not quite Honda Ya good of course.
The urchin pasta is HEAVY, much too creamy for me, the entree is $19, with such a strong taste I would like to see this more as a side dish.  A few bites of this will ruin your palate and have you running for anything acid.

Enjoyed our meal, above fed my family well, though it is due to the super caloric pasta.  Will be back to try the rest of the menu.  Kinda sad we were the only customers there at 6pm.

I think you mean UNI pasta right? Unagi is eel... Have you had the UNI pasta from Cafe Hiro in cypress?? Much better tasting and not as heavy on the cream :)

Yeah, typo.  Tried the Uni pasta from Cafe Hiro, it was ok as well, guess I'm not a fan of creamy foods

Cool, kid loves Udon, gonna give it a try.  Though the price is a tad high.  Only $7 at Honda-Ya and it's hard to beat their simple version.

Niko Niko was "kicking the stall door down" food poisoning for us last time, never going back.

We checked out this place after reading the post on this site.  My wife and I liked the food.  Service was pretty slow, but we liked it enough to return for lunch the next day.  That's twice in two days.  Udon was good.  The noodles were nicely done.  Sushi and Sashimi were fresh and the bento boxes were good.  Inside was clean and interior was nicely done.  I recommend the place.

quick savings tip - there are 10% off coupons on the back of Pavilions receipts.  With the coupon, the price comes closer to what it should be..
