Saw a listing I want to looky loo, but don't want to waste someone's time, since I'm pretty sure we're not going to buy it.  If I contact the sellers agent for a showing and don't have my own, can I bring an agent later if we do go thru with it?

It's not a waste of my time.  It's my job.
99% of the work I do goes unpaid, but positive mojo and referrals always add up in the end.

Besides, I owe you for that tip about the Costco Suds.  :)

Gimme a call if you'd like to see something.

Of course, until you sign a representation agreement and/or an offer agreement you are free to do as you please.

I did that on my first purchase.  The wife and I looked at the house with the listing agent (did not sign anything) and then came back about a week later (we did not have an agent when we looked the first time) with our new agent when we wanted to look at it one more time before making an offer.  The sellers agent looked at us like she wanted to flip out but held her composure since she did not want to lose an offer from good buyers.
I have to say we were total newbies at house purchases at that time (we were around our mid 20's) and did not know the territorial nature of some agents.  Most agents know if they provide good service they will get the customers.  If not on that sale, a future sale may come their way.
