is what TIC offering in terms of new homes going down hill as we move forward of what you get for your money (as someone else mentioned in another thread)?  It's bad enough that you now have to settle for motorcourts, no driveways, and/or zero lot lines unless you are willing to spend around $1m+ but the fact that they just did a "copy & paste" of the 2010 collection floor plans in their 2011 offering is just sad. I mean, how hard would it have been to create fresh and new floor plans for the homes that they have scheduled to sell in 2011 in SG and LA?  >:(  *END RANT*  :-X

I think TIC got a little excited when their homes were selling like hot cakes during the government cheese free give away. 2011 is going to be a harsh cold wind through a thin silk skirt.  :D

Drove by Laguna Altera's front gate this AM. Those models are sprouting like mushrooms. Now I know why... they are copy/paste of other TIC recent developments.

I challenge anyone to stand on L.A.'s property boundaries and say they're getting a deal what with the NOISE FROM THE 405 BEING SO LOUD YOU HAVE TO SHOUT JUST TO HEAR YOURSELF THINK.  I guess if you must have "new" it makes sense for some.

In 3 years, Woodbury is going to be 40% empty, and filled with illegal squatters. The Irvine PD, in a futile effort to "clean up" the community, will start conducting armed raids into Woodbury Townhomes to get rid of the "criminals". However, the squatters will fight back, and set fire to Woodbury, burning the entire community into dark, powdery ash.

Then it'll become obvious that the Irvine Revolution has begun.

I think IndieDev and planet Reality should be put in a cage together and fight it out.
It will be the greatest fight ever.

Those who read IHB will know what I'm talking about.

Why should TIC change their floor plans or offer lower prices? As long as sheeple keep buying TIC products wrapped in great PR, the madness will continue. In fact TIC is so confident, they are raising prices for their 2011 Home Collection.

It won't continue. 2011 is going to be a year of reckoning. http://www.cnbc.com/id/38429467

Save water, potatoes, and ammunition.

I think there may be a little bit of smugness on their part.

One good reason I can think of them not changing their floorplans is because they are making the footprint so small it's almost impossible to do otherwise. But that's not an excuse for their SFRs like San Marino and Maricopa, there is plenty of room for more functional usage of space.

Rice is good, but is water intensive. You want to save that water for when basic utilities cost 25x more than they do now. The rioting that will ensue may destroy the basic infrastructure of Irvine.

When that happens, I plan to bunker down in one of TIC's gated apartment complexes. Take for instance Villa Sienna near Michelson and Jamboree. Completely enclosed all around with only two entrances, and it has its own power plant. Easily defensible with a minimal force of around a dozen well armed men. I'll lead a band of survivors and replant the parks with potatoes, and we'll setup our own water purification system in the 3 swimming pools. The underground garages will be used to store essential medical supplies, weapons, and a small hospital/clinic.

Sounds like a good screenplay for a movie.  Will there be any zombies too?  haha

Hehehe...You've been watching too much CNN--Egypt, Tunisia, and now Libya. You've infected TI--we even have a gun thread in the Water Cooler section (http://www.talkirvine.com/index.php?topic=1493.0)  :D

Zombies are nothing compared to the monsters to come. They lack physical strength and even a basic intellect. Once the revolution starts full swing here, after utilities, and commodities shoot through the roof, and the U.S dollar isn't worth the paper it's printed on, you will get all sorts of terrifying monster. Take for instance your basic neo-nazi cannibal. Idealistic to the bone, and anyone that doesn't agree with his ideology will become his next meal. He will promise his loyal followers a lavish feast of meat composed of the fattened up, non-believing aristocracy (those who bought their expensive condos in TIC's 2010 collection).

But hey, prices always go up! Never been a better time to buy! The economy is recovering! hahahaahahaha!!!

Water, ammunition, gold coins, and some Soylent Green. Now with more Braiiins!

I'm going to need to start dressing like Snake Plissken. Chicks dig that look.
