Irvine Restaurant Week January 9-15

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Half of those places I didn't know existed.

Interesting selections, although 3-course dinners, for $30+ per person, kind of pricey (at least for us 99%ers).

Ditto...clearly a good way to promote oneself.  If they are going to do this, Irvine Chamber of Commerce need to step up their game.

EATS look interesting, kinda want that steak from Curry House, maybe curry on the side.  Las Fajitas is cheapest at $6 for two taco plate, isn't that regular price?  Might go to ah lien hotpot for the lunch as well.  Wonder why Tai Chi withdrew?

Never been to ah lien but love hot pot. What's the ps9 take on it?

It's pretty good, a Taiwanese branch, we like the sour cabbage soup stock, you mix your own sauce (satay, soy sauce, chili, garlic, etc.) at a self serve station kinda like Little Sheep.  A good variety of items to order.  Portions are ok, beef is not bad.  Reminds me of New Years at families house but without the prep and cleanup.  Their location sucks, too far from the college kids at UCI and the FCBs, so I worry they'll close soon.  Good after swim class at Waterworks.
