Irvine Ranch is 2nd hottest U.S. spot for new-home sales

Land giant Irvine Co.?s Irvine Ranch neighborhoods were the nation?s second-fastest new home community in 2015.
Two rankings ? one by John Burns Real Estate Consulting and the other by Robert Charles Lesser and Co. ? show 1,674 new homes sold on Irvine Ranch property last year, up 243 homes or 17 percent from 2014. Home sales grew by 12 percent at the 21 fastest selling communities nationwide, according to Burns.
For the second consecutive year, Irvine Co.?s new home sales in its master-planned Irvine communities trailed only The Villages community in Central Florida for the national top spot in both rankings.
Five new neighborhoods will open early this year on Irvine Ranch property at Portola Springs Village by builders California Pacific Homes, William Lyon Homes, Brookfield Residential and The New Home Co.
New homes are currently for sale at three other Irvine Ranch locations: Cypress Village, Orchard Hills Village and Stonegate Village.
