I would know Irvine anywhere. I was watching this new Kia commercial. Apparently it debuted during the Super Bowl but I just saw it for the first time right now. Anyway, in the first scene outside the car showing it drive down the road, I said to myself that must be Irvine. Beige homes, super crammed together. Kind of looks like Sand Cyn but there is no divider and the speed limit is 40 mph. Then, when the dad tells the car to play "Wheels on the Bus" the camera goes to his GPS which shows he's at 111 Peters Canyon Rd., Irvine and it labels a grassy area "Colorado Park". 111 is, of course, where the Kia Design Center is off the freeway. "Colorado Park" is really Harvard Circle Park inside the Harvard Square enclave.  The only thing I'm not sure of is the first and second street they are shown driving down and where "7401" might be. That number is painted on the curb at the stop sign. Of course, it could be nowhere in Irvine at all.

Did anyone else notice all the Irvine references in the commercial?

At 50 seconds, there is a blue street sign in the lower right corner.  It says Clarington Drive.  I don't see that in Irvine, but there is one in Laguna Hills.  http://goo.gl/maps/pbuXb

Besides the physical facets of similarities to the surroundings the greater message of symbolism was the metaphorical portrayal of the city's governing body and her citizens.

They show that commercial quite a bit during NBA... one part looks like they are driving on Culver/Bonita Canyon near Turtle Rock.
