Rather than posting individual threads, I thought it may be better to consolidate.
Post tools and resources that you use to make your investment decisions here!

Tools that I've used recently:
https://testfol.io/ - back testing tool and alternative to https://www.portfoliovisualizer.com/
https://investor.vanguard.com/investor-resources-education/education/model-portfolio-allocation - I'd print out the chart on this page and tape it to the wall
https://www.bankrate.com/banking/savings/compound-savings-calculator/ - remember to set to "compound annually" for assets with annual returns
https://www.journalofaccountancy.com/news/2023/jul/the-new-529-rollover-roth-ira.html - detailed rules on 529 to Roth IRA rollover
https://www.sumgrowth.com/SectorSurfer.aspx - Credit to Liar Loan for this. I'd suggest using IRA/tax advantaged account so you don't generate taxable event when you sell/rotate. Stay away from 3x leveraged funds!

Other tools and resources of interest: (some require $)
https://legacy.portfoliovisualizer.com/ - free but capped to 10 years for back testing

Another great FI Calculator here from Mad FIentist:

Finviz is also a great and straightforward visually-driven stock screening tool

Here's an article on someone back-testing Warren Buffett's 90/10 portfolio for his wife:

Interestingly, the testing shows 60/40 had the lowest failure rate through 86 rolling back-tests of 30 year cycles from 1900-2014.

Note that this assumes the person is already retired with no additional funds invested.
