[IHB] Open House Review: 2 Camanero West

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
That's not really a fair comparison b/c 31 Entrada was a crap hole that reeked.  This one now on the market looks ok.  Market is stronger now, but price comparison isn't just the market.  I went to 31 Entrada and even if it was $450K--I wouldn't have bought it.  It was a train wreak.  It would have taken a lot of money to fix that up and I don't know how the new owners got that smell out.  That was one of the worst homes I've ever toured.

Nah, that stuff is fine.  It smelled so strongly and pungently of curry--but extra strength and just combined with a very musty, old smell.  It was overwhelming and rushed through the house so I could get out.  I couldn't open the screen door because it was broken to see the yard and I figured I wasn't going to buy it anyway, so why bother.  I know that smell is stuck on the walls so I have no idea how you could get that smell out even if you fumigated the home.  That combined with all the repairs just wasn't worth it.  I'd rather rent a clean place.

I am surprised that this place is pending (according to redfin)

I went there for an open house and the realtor mentioned that I was like the 17th group to come through.  The area of Northwood had a lot of foot traffic as I saw many of the same people at the different open houses.  Each of the places I went to are pending within a week.

I felt that 4 Christamon around the bend was pretty nice.

Prime the hell out of it, that's how. Original oil based Kilz. It's the only sure-fire way to extinguish the toughest of odors, in my unfortunate experience. I don't blame you at all for passing on a curry house. Same thoughts here.
