Anyone going to this tonight?

Now that the IHB forums have been decimated and split into two opposing forces... does anyone even care about these meet-ups?

I didn't see a post for this over at OCR... in fact, they rarely discuss the IHB over there so I'm wondering what kind of turn out is Larry going to get.

I would go... except I probably won't know anyone other than Larry and Zovall. IPO is MIA and I don't know if Graph or BK are going to make an appearance.
 
Oops didn't see this post earlier.  I didn't go.  I prefer a TI or OCR meet.  Nothing against IHB, just feels different.
 
I couldn't make it... had to visit some friends and by the time we got back it was almost 10pm.

If IPO ever reads this board again... I still owe him drinks from last years NBA Finals.
 
I didn't even know about it.  Actually received a "Nigerian scam"-style email from Larry's account yesterday.  Apparently his email was hacked, but has been resolved, as I confirmed with zovall and he's not trapped in London. 

Haven't really gone back to IHB after their forums shutdown, out of respect to let them run their own business the way they see fit. It would be fun to see old friends and faces though.  Maybe more TI or OCR meetups could be scheduled?
 
Someone needs to get RC to plan another... although he's been over at OCR more lately.

Maybe we can do a TI+OCR meetup... or would that be too contentious?

Least you can do is include the link to the tread.  Can't believe Mike ventured over there.  haha
 
This has got to be one of IHO funniest posts...!  hahah.. this is what I get for logging in on a Saturday...  I'll check with the wife, kid and cat, maybe one Saturday in July, who is up for it?  If you are, trow in some dates, I'll book the club house this time, just promise not to trash the place, or I'll loose the deposite...

the RC family has been really busy lately, after weeks of looking in the LBC, looks like we are here for another 9 months or year.  TIC is nice enough to throw in a free club house rental.  Seems like we head up to the LBC every chance we get; I know when we finally get out of the Irvine; we'll probably be coming to Irvine every chance we get... bla...

I was there. It was a small gathering. Nice to meet up with certain folks.
Therte was a writer from money magazine who was visiting Socal for 2 weeks
from newyork to do a peice on southern california housing. He was also
taking lots of notes on what everyone was saying and their opinions.
(Bullish & Bearish)

I went to personally thank IR for all the work he puts
in to educate people and to inform him about my 2010 collection purchase. His blog
was a big part of my life last few years. Contrary to everyone calling IHB a bear blog
or selfish (now that he has a home broker business) I think he puts the facts the way
he sees it. It is upto the individuals to decide how much of what he says does one want to
believe in and follow.

I'm like TIC... there is no hubbub... but if you talk about it enough... it makes people think there is.

Two words: Ugly. Big.
