The term porch was accurately used here. a porch is where one could use it as an outdoor room that could accommodate a grouping of furniture or a swing or both. A token covered space to protect the front door from sun and rain damage is a portico. A porch with gold plating is called California Room.

The recreation building at LR has a porch. The sideway plan at the field has an arcade loggia. The colonial house at the Grove has a portico. I looked up the terms in a book.

What are your views about the floor plan?

I think the floor plan is very good. The home is different from most homes because of the light top. The plan is sensible for the aging population. The large footprint also demanded a large lot size. The developer was obviously drinking heavily when these lots were sold to Stan PAC.
