I live at ANACAPA and the office just called me and said that if I resign right now on my 2/2 this weekend they will lower my rent from $2050 to $1805!

My lease isnt up till the end of July....lol

wondering what to do here....

If they are that desperate to lock me in now I cant imagine what other great deals my lie just around the corner. I was actually thinking of moving but this offer makes me reconsider.

That's good news. What floorplan is this for? Just wanted to compare this to what they have listed online for the newcomers.

Can't hurt to just wait it out since you have many months to wait. Is this for a longer lease or just a 12 month lease? I can only imagine the offers will get better and better. Time is on your side :)

I have the Novato floor plan....

Funny though, they are calling me trying to scare me into signing now saying the deal will never be this good again and its a "one time offer"

I don't see how waiting could hurt

Its for a 12 month lease but I have to sign this weekend.

Call them back and say for $1700 you can sign this weekend. Otherwise, you'll take your chance one of the other complexes in the heat of summer will beat their price.

Yeah, tell them to give you $1,700 or you don't sign. The $1,805 is the bottom of the market price range on their website...

If you look at craigslist for you floorplan, they are running it at $1,735/mo. $1,700 or they can sit and spin!

In that case, tell'em $1635!

It's IAC, they want to lock you into a 1-2 year contract, so when you have to break it, they charge you the 5k. lol.

You can tell them the 1700, but there's no one in that office that can negotiate. They will come back with a blank stare. Threaten to move out in July, then let them sit on it for a few days, if no movement just pay the higher rent now and find a new place for Aug.

BUT, if you don't want to move and 1800 is nice, just sign and enjoy your place.
