I am looking at several different neighborhood to buy a single family house in irvine...(kinda new to this city)

Woodbury seems pretty attractive to me since there are lots of community facilities and trails and good elementary school etc....

How do you guys evaluate Woodbury? Is it worth to buy million dollars in this neighborhood?

Which are the other neighborhoods you're comparing to? I suppose Woodbury is like any other neighborhoods in Irvine. It's quiet and peaceful. As to the house, it's a personal preference. Some will say it's worth it. While others will say no it's not worth it. In the end, ultimately, you're going to live in it. So it's all up to you with regards to the house. Personally, I prefer smaller homes. Big homes seem like a waste of space.

There is a pretty extensive discussion of Woodbury under the Architecture, Planning, and Design section:

I looked at Woodbury - we had a day pass to the pool and it was really nice -kids loved the water park spray stuff. I felt the homes were a little too close together - cramped and no yard. I did like the Stonegate models we looked at - the houses were nice. The Woodbury shopping center is nice and close which would be nice. However, the biggest downside for us was mella roos and homeowners fees - they were outrageous and we refuse to pay for a home and then have to pay rent on top of it!! :).
