<p class="MsoNormal"> I’m trying to find out more information about a potential housing development at the old Vista Verde site. As some of you know, Vista Verde School moved to a new location last year. I was told that the old side will be demolished and there’s a plan to build new houses. I tried to find more information from the City of Irvine, but nobody calls me backL.</p>

Your best bet might be to call the Facilities Dept. at the school district and see if the land has been sold or will be sold.

The IUSD put the property for sale, but did not obtain the $40M they were looking for. The property is zoned for 20 du/ac apartments. The IUSD will probably try to increase the density in order to get a better price.
