Was I the only one who able to gas up only once when gas was less than $2.50 a gallon?

It was like the Irvine real estate price drop... you blinked and then prices were back up to over $3.50 a gallon.

It was so nice to fill up my tank for $35... guess that will never happen again. Time to buy solar stock? :)

you have to thank California Democrats for that. We are switching to summer blend (California specific) which only certain refineries are doing. so when one of such refineries went down, we cannot easily replace the supply from other refineries and instant price spike.

So funny how it rises so much faster than it falls... I think it was 10 seconds after the Torrance refinery fire and someone was changing the numbers at gasoline stations all over Southern California.

I'm moving to Johns Creek.

So did HI tap into some island oil we don't know about? Amazing how they have to ship gas in yet theirs cost less than ours.

Of the bottom 10 most expensive states look who runs 80% of them then look at the exact opposite of the 10 cheapest states and who runs 80% of them...spooky mirror image

Prices heading south again but I predict eventually they will stabilize around $60-$70 trading range.  Wont help us much because of our "winter blend" problems in the near term though.

We rule!!! National gas prices dropped an average of 2 cents last week and we went up 16 cents...we're number one!!! We need only to look in the mirror...

Nothing Golden About This Hidden Gas Tax

California's carbon emissions tax could slam drivers.

Exactly how much more? Nobody knows. Apparently state legislators felt compelled to approve the law first and do the math later. They don?t believe they need to share the pesky details with the folks who elected them. Based on input from various industry organizations and consumer groups, it?s estimated that the cap and trade "tax" on carbon emissions has the potential to increase California?s retail gasoline prices from 16 cents to 76 cents per gallon. Most expect at least a 15-cent increase beginning in 2015.

California drivers already pay the highest prices for fuel and the second highest fuel taxes in the country ? 68.1 cents, second only to New York?s 68.9 cents per gallon
