Despite my attempt to get the smallest yard possible...it looks like I still need a gardner. Anyone have any recommendations?
SoCal said:Well, I know you're looking for a gardener and not other types of advice, however, have you considered just a small investment in lawn care items instead? Especially since it sounds like the patio is on the tiny side. We got the Ryobi stuff and are enjoying it... lawn mower, hedge trimmer, leaf blower, and whatever else the mister has picked up since then. I fired our gardeners and quickly recouped our costs (although I have a large backyard, two patios, and a front lawn to maintain). I find that nobody will take care of your property the way that you would, to your standards. What's neat and I think unique about the Ryobi line is that they are very versatile as they actually have interchangeable batteries and parts. It can be a space-saver and I think it's pretty economic that way. I also enjoy using their power tools for DIY projects... so far I've built a wall shelf with robe hooks, constructed a georgous hanging planter stand, and I will be creating a tile mosaic mirror this week, using their drill, power screw driver, pneumatic gun, etc., etc. Beings I'm not a guy, I am not super experienced with power tools. I've only tried Craftsman (a tiny bit), Black & Decker (mostly), Mikita (a little), and Ryobi (a lot recently). But I do like the Ryobi brand so far and the mister really likes their line of lawn care tools. He actually doesn't even mind doing the yardwork because he enjoys using them. Anyway, I hope this helps.
