Hi everyone in Irvine,

Anybody had good experiences with a particular company/contractor in doing a garage epoxy job for your garage fairly recently?
Standard 2 car garage 10 yr old smooth with usual wear concrete, prefer it to last long with a clear coat with some decorative flakes.

Know this has been brought up before , thought I can solicit any new thoughts anyone? and how much did the job cost you?

Can't help you with a vendor per se, I did my own with Sherman Williams 2 part industrial epoxy with an added 'shark skin' grit for slip resistance.  You can probably get more recommendations at the 'flooring' section of garagejournal.com.

I have seen a lot of new home owners do it themselves. Looks quite good. I would suggest buying few extra pack of chips
and sprinkling it. Otherwise the floor may be too slippery when wet. Since yours is a older garage the maximum
work is in prepping the surface. So i might recommend a real garage floor contractor. We used roomtopark.com
for our garage eventhough it was brand new never driven in floor. Because I'm really bad with handy stuff like this.
I used them also for overhead storage shelves.

I actually recently added epoxy to my garage floor. It costs about $100 and it took about 3-4 hours total (over the course of 2 days). I think it was a job well done and the epoxy is holding up quite well so far. My only downfall was not using all the decorative chips. I had a bunch leftover...

As a 3CWG advocate, I'm surprised I haven't discovered garagejournal.com sooner.

RoomToPark.com is a great domain name for Garage Concepts (julstride: They do SafeRacks too).
