Got some takeout today. The place is small. Next to Thai spice. The place has six two person booths, two tables in the middle of the booths, look more like high benches than tables. Each table seats six people but that would be very crammed. Then there is a little three person bench up against the window. So a total of 27 people can eat here at once.

Moving on to the food. Got a regular burger, sweet potato fries and onion rings. All are pretty good. The sweet potato fries were excellent. If you are a fan of red robin onion rings you will like these. I'd give the burger an 8, nice thick patty. This place is best for takeout. I'll definitely put this place into my rotation. It was about 6. Just walked in, no line, waited about 10 minutes for food.

How would you compare to the burger at Crow Bar in Newport?

Or Slaters 50/50?

Or five guys?

Never been to crow bar in newport. I've heard of it, just never been. Better than five guys but not better than slaters. Few things are better than slaters.  One reason I don't frequent five guys is their fries. You guys should try this place out. I think most of you will like it.

Finally tried this place yesterday.  The burgers are amazing - especially for the price!  Big, thick patty.  They ask how you wanted it done and my medium-rare was perfect!  Lots of greens and tomato and tons of add-on toppings for small charges.  Very juicy/messy, but worth it!  Blows away any fast-food burgers and the combo costs just a bit more than a Carl's $6-burger medium combo.  I'd say the best casual-place burger except maybe The Counter.

have you guys tried carls jr's $6 philly cheesesteak burger? could be the best burger ive ever had in my life. got one in the fridge waiting for me for dinner when i get home.  40 seconds in the microwave and ill be in heaven again. those new baked buns they use for the $6 burgers are very soft.

Before we had the baby i used to eat most dinners at home. Then the pregnancy came and my wife ate a lot of takeout and so I started eating a lot takeout. And now with the baby at 6 months it's tough to do anything other than takeout. I like to try the new fast food offerings such as the cheesesteak burger, grilled stuffed nacho at tacobell, etc. with that said I've started to eat more dinners at the house recently to eat healthier.

Eating a refrigerated philly cheesesteak burger that you nuked at home is not the same as eating more healthy dinners at the house. :)

Just had it for launch today and 100% agree with you, these burgers are amazing.  I don't know how a regular person can eat this hamburger with our regular size mouth.  The burger is about 6" tall and I was wonder why the waitress ask me if I need a fork and knife.

for just a straight up regular burger, this maybe just as good or better than slaters. ive never had just a regular burger at slaters cause i pile on the cheese sauce, fried jalapenos, fritos, onion rings and to make it a little healthy that pumpkin/spice dip. while the combinations of those flavors is great, i cant do an apples to apples comparison. but just try G burger tonight and you will be asking yourself why you hadnt tried it earlier. sweet potato fries and onion rings are really good too.

Ok, I'll give it a try tonight.  I'll pass on the onion rings (since I hate onions) and the sweet potato fries (as I hate sweet potatoes).  haha

I finally tried the 50/50 thing.  I love burgers (mainly thick and medium-rare) and bacon.  Didn't like the 50/50 at all.  I guess if you like well-done it's ok but you can't get that medium-rare taste and texture of the patty and crispy bacon when they're mixed together.  Oh well.

So the fam finally tried this out... it's just hard for us to go to a burger place because you can buy decent burgers (or cook your own) for much less.

The thing that got us to go here was the Fried Zucchini, which was pretty good. Unfortunately, we also got the Onion Rings, so the flavor was a bit repetitive.

We split the normal cheeseburger and the kids had the kids menu sliders (which were pretty sizable). The fries here are the coated fries which we all really like.

Still hard for me to spend more than $5 on a burger at a fast casual joint, it was good... but not 1%er good.

The boss wants to try Umami burger... but I'm thinking that's even more expensive and no zucchini.
