Mark your calendars, March 7th-9th is Fullerton College's annual tomato plant sale. I've been to the Cal State tomato and pepper sale and still find the jc's sale the best if you want tomatos more so than peppers. CSUF is definitely better for peppers. <a href="http://horticulture.fullcoll.edu/TomatoListMain.shtml">Fullerton College Tomato Plant Sale </a>

[quote author="Astute Observer" date=1231816801]^no wonder some of us are starving here!

But I guess there is not much of a waste for this deadly-night-shade cousin.... I don't like tomato at all. <run away from stepping_up></blockquote>

Yeah, well I thought I liked astute people too until you came along :) They do sell peppers at the tomato plant sale.....

Do you happen to know if they will have pequin peppers at the sale? I looked and couldn't find a list of peppers on the website.

On the rare occasions that I have been able to obtain pequins I have found their flavor to be incredible.

They don't have a huge selection of peppers here. If you want peppers, then I suggest going to the CSUF tomato and pepper plant sale. I've never seen as many pepper varieties as they have there, but couldn't tell you for sure if they have pequin. If they don't, you could always try finding seeds online.

Don't be dissing the tomatoes! When we have you over for dinner this summer, I will serve you the grocery store crap and see how you like it, when everyone else raves about the homegrown tomatoes. You will be asking when the tomato sales are from then on. I know I will never be able to convert you to my team, but I will convert you to the homegrown tomato loving team. You are going down Troop!

Nothing better than the home grown tomatoes, I'll be there even though they pop up everywhere anyway, I want something different this year.
