Irvine Unified School District
Dear parent of ps9 junior:

Irvine Unified School District is excited to support our student?s success this 2014-15 school year and beyond by providing all enrolled students with five full copies of Office 365 ProPlus at no cost. Students are able to download this software for home use on a PC, Mac or mobile device thanks to our partnership with Microsoft. You may have seen these software tools online costing hundreds of dollars to purchase for home use, but with Office 365, all IUSD students have access to the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage for free.

Please click on the link below to login and download the software.

Couldn't install 365, had to go with Office 2010.  Some weird error code.  Oh well, free Office is free Office.  I guess this is my mello roos at work?

The nice thing about 365 is it stays up to date to the latest version until your kid graduates from high school, MS pulls the program, or they leave the district.

Nice perk.

I doubt they need Office for kinder.. Wife and I will be using it more in the mean time, a nice bonus, yes, if I can get it to install.

I prefer LibreOffice over OpenOffice. I had Libre installed on their computers.

But for my kids, since the school uses MS for their classes, it would be better for them to also use MS at home.
