Frame Walk

Take pix of EVERY wall and ceiling so you'll know where and what is in your walls in case some day you want to do something to your house involving the walls.

+1 to this.  Also, if you have a 2nd person going with you, I would also recommend taking video of the entire house as well.  It will add context to the pictures you take.  We filmed each room by room as a separate video to make it easier to organize later down the line.

One thing I regret not doing but hopefully won't be an issue is laying a tape measure across the walls when taking pictures to get fairly accurate measurements of where everything is

Yeah, tape measure would be good too. Studs are not always evenly spaced.

Not sure if Irvine has mandatory sprinklers for new construction, but TL does and you definitely don't want to be trying to hammer something into a stud and hit a water pipe you didn't expect to be there.

And there is lots of extra wiring around the router area too.

Fire Sprinklers are standard at Cressa.  Take pictures of the Fire Sprinkler lines so  you don't puncture any of it if you decide to nail stuff into the walls.

Get to know where your water shut off valve is, where all the drainage is, make sure all your electrical options are there.

If it's standard at Cressa, good chance it's standard in Irvine, but in any case you want to know where those sprinkler lines are. The walk thru rep specifically pointed them out to my hubby on the predrywall walk and emphasized we should be very careful not to hit those (duh!). They are not necessarily where you would think they are. I know we have one that runs in the back of the pantry and that is along a wall that even has any need for water. There is also one that runs along a wall in the master bedroom that is not connected to the bathroom..... good to know because we installed full length wainscot on that wall and adjusted the boards to avoid the sprinklers.

Don't forget pix of the ceilings. It's good to know which way the joists run in case you want to install recessed lights/jboxes (maybe even tongue/groove panels or beams).

We missed one pix....... a covered sofit and sure enough we could use that info for a mudroom we're putting in.

The lines are pretty hard to hit unless you are trying to mount your tv and it hits the pipes.
