Am thinking of replacing our shower door. Its not glass, perhaps some kind of acrylic not sure, but no matter what I do, I can't clean the lime (white dots) off. Its foggy, never clear with white spots that never come off. I need to find some kind of shower door that will eliminate this kind of high maintenance. Even we get the lime off, it will be back. Any ideas?

I've tried different things. There is a special spray you can buy to spray on the doors after a shower but it has never worked for me and believe me, I've tried. The only things that have helped were: A) a squeegee or B) a frosted glass door. The squeegee you can keep in the shower and quickly scrape the water off the doors when you're done. It helps a lot. I regret ever buying clear glass as it is much harder to maintain... frosted is perfect. Maybe you would be interested in a water softener to get to the root of the issue.
