Bought a bottle from Costco today to try out, always thought it was gimmicky. But to my surprise (and disgust) it seems to do a better job cleaning than plain old water. Here's a shot of the 'premium' strawberries I also got at Costco soaking in the Fit broth:
1 minute
4 minutes
6 minutes
These are not organic strawberries, grown in CA, and at first inspection seems pretty clean (not much dirt). I'm no produce expert, but that water looks suspicious. Went from clear to skim milk transparency. Hopefully it's just the edible wax they spray on food that got pulled off by the oils in the Fit wash. So if that's the case, pesticides trapped by the wax will also get pulled into the soup?
