Anyone here have experience or knowledge of working for the Feds? Specifically, in a financial oversight role as an bank or credit union examiner? What is like? Culture? Good exit to working mgmt in a bank?

This question has come up with the other consultants that I work with and our conclusion is that we rather be the consultants that work with the Feds and be working as the Feds (primarily because the pay stinks with the Fed). Working as a consultant you get the same resume building experience but with pay that is 25-50% higher.
