Favori, Santa Ana

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I never understand the taste for this nasty fish, bottom feeder, taste like mud, and the meat texture is grainy.  I do like how Favori makes the crispy crust, but yes at this price, might as well go down the street to Newport and get a lobster.

OK, after paying $50 for the large, I've concluded that it's actually good for 4-5 people.  Avoid ordering too many other dishes.  Photos to follow.

You can catch some nice catfish at the California Aquduct, but need to be careful not to fall in (with fatal results).  Look up Ronson "Catmando" Smothers, he's a pro catfish guy in SoCal.

I would not recommend eating koi from fish pond except in emergencies.  They put a lot of chemicals in the water.

Speaking of catfish, isn't there's a Taiwanese catfish call ?? (White Spotted Clarias) which is consider as a delicacy but people avoid eating it because the fish is a bottom feeder and live in a very filthy environment.
