Experience with Redfin

I was wondering if anyone has any experience using redfin as your buyer agent?

I have to admit I like the sound of the commission rebate and it also seems like it would be easier to make low low offers on homes using them vs. using a traditional agent that will always try and sway you to make an offer to get the deal done.

My only worry is having to be shown the home by the sellers agent.

Let me just say before I get the usual "Why are you even thinking of buying right now" messages, that I am just starting to be a little more serious about buying, but I still plan on holding out at least 9mo-1yr more before I start trying to make offers.

Thanks

I haven't used their services but I know a friend who did and she was completely happy. In fact her comment is in the home buyers comments section

I've used BuySide (75% back) and have been very happy with them. I submitted 5 offers through them (none accepted - including short sales). They were doing business in CA before Redfin came along. I think they are both fairly equivalent. Most of the work to see properties will end up on your shoulders.

Sometimes listing agents aren't too eager to show properties. I try to find open houses or contact the owner if the realtard is being dumb.

I was just reading their reviews on Yelp. Seems everyone is happy except....Realtors.

Not sure why they even care since the sellers 3% is not touched.
