Hi folks, does anyone have great recommendations for companies who do nice built ins that are reasonably priced?  Someone that can build cabinets, mount a 70" and hide wires for entertainment center in living areas and lofts?

When I was looking for my crown molding, I called Robert at OC Finishwood.  Left him 3 messages over the course of 2 weeks - he finally called back on the third week and scheduled a time to come out and give an estimate.  I took half day off work and waited for him, didn't show then I called him and left a message asking him if he planned to come as planned.  Was driving to work and he called me back saying he was on his way.

45 minutes after our scheduled time he arrived and took measurements and we went through his catalog of different moldings.  I selected one and he said he would email me the quote but he was really busy and didn't know when.  Never heard from him again.

He may do good work if you can get a hold of him but he's very difficult to get in touch with and in my experience does not return calls very quickly.

I had a similar experience. Emailed him, he said he couldn't do any work till the end of July (this was several months ago). I said it wAs fine, not urgent that we could wait. Never heard back from him.

That's horrible customer service.  Even if he's that busy, he should have just said he has too many jobs right now is not taking on any additional work instead of the unprofessional lack of communication.

Thanks for the replies.  Design center sells one for $6200 for the living room.  That's for the tv with some cabinets, etc

Is that considered expensive?

Yes, way too expensive with no customization option.

I hate people that don't call you back.  Who cares if they are skilled?  Customer service is important.  Has anyone used these guys?

Any other good contractors for built in, closets, or crown moldings?
Was advised bot to use Cabinets Plus by some friends who used them due to bad quality but cheap prices.  I guess you always get what you pay for.
