Enclosing Office Loft Area

We have a loft area that has a built in office which is currently open to the hallway upstairs.  We are looking to enclose this with something like french doors (or sliding doors) so we can close this off if we need to block out noise and create some privacy when we work from home (baby is at home with nanny).  It is currently completely open and has a rather large arched opening.  Any cost-effective ideas?  So far, I'm thinking it probably would be best to un-arch and put in some support/drywall for a standard glass french door and install.  But, I'm very open to ideas as we are trying to figure out if it's even worth it or not.

For the option of un-arching and putting in some support/drywall to add a standard french door or sliding door...does anyone have a recommendation for a contractor that would do something like that?

The hanging door solution which would mount outside of the arch probably isn't an option since there isn't a lot of wall to work with on either side of this arch.  Even if that worked, I do prefer the cleaner look of installed doors.  Ideally, I'd love to put up some panels of fixed glass on either side of a french door.  Why is there no such thing as a small home improvement project?!

It's all about the benjis. None thing in life is free - unless you do it yourself.  ;)
