Design Center: Picking a laminate floor

Hi!
We recently purchased an Irvine Co home and had our design center appointment. We are getting a condo and wanted to get laminate floor- specifically QUICKSTEP Malted tawny oak uf1548. We are having an issue envisioning the whole floor...has anyone installed this floor? Would love any thoughts on this selection. We want to install it in the kitchen and living area since they are on one floor. The kitchen cabinets are "brown sugar" with beige/taupe backsplash. Thanks!
 
They sell this brand at Tompkins flooring...maybe they have a larger sample for you to see?

Nice laminate...does it have the texture of reclaimed wood?
 
I'm considering this floor as well.  Highly recommend you get quotes outside the Design Center as they're quite overpriced.
