How can you check to know if someone died in the house? I know listing agent have to disclosed the information if someone died in the house within 5 years. If they died of Aids, then it can not be disclosed, but sometime listing agents doesn't know the information themselves, so how could I check?

Thanks,

you can hire me. i work part time as a ghost buster. hahahhahaaaaaaa

you should worry about people being murder in the house. i am sure alot of the house have people died in it.... no biggie. but if they are murder and blood seeps into the carpet and absorb into the wood floors or wall. now that is a whole different story. hahahahahaaa

<em>"Why can't they tell you if they died of AIDS? I'd want to know that."</em>

Why does it matter if it is AIDS? It's not contagious anymore.

The thread starter mentioned that they can't disclose it if the person died of AIDS, so why is that different from any other type of death?

KD-B,

I don't know why they can't disclosed if a person die of AIDS in the house...This is what the agent told me. I have no idea why.

Anonymous,

I read that article...if I was that person that open the closet door....shesh...I would need years of therapy to get rid of that image. I am big chicken.

Tulip, where is that text from? Realtor's law or something?

So a "cause of action" (justification for suing?) can be made if the undisclosed death was within the past 3 years, provided that it isn't from HIV?

This house was a steal

How fraud led to this property changing hands 3 times as son of owner sat dead inside

Bad energy that channel to death by suicide, murder, and other sudden unexpected death like heart attack in a home in not fixable. Avoid it even if the home is free. Death by Cancer and slow deterioation of health often occurred in a hospital under care. Home needed to be cleansed by feng shui methods.

i believe if someone dies due to AIDS it does not need to be disclosed since it is considered a disability, im 95% sure that is why. So someone dying from a disability in a home in theory would not reduce the value of a home, where as as someone who was shot 15 times in the chest may reduce the value of a home.

<p>Chinese believe victims of tramatic death linger around and haunt people while deaths from natural causes journey to reincarnation.</p>

i think bk is right. violent death is never good. natural death is ok.... it just take time for the spirit to go away. plus when you move in you should get your house bless by a priest or who ever.... the cost isn't much but it is well worth it imo.

if you got a really bad one. get a strong voodoo thai priest and he can get rid of most things.
