I still can't eat Korean food, even the cooked stuff reminds me of the raw chewy halibut, yuck.

I really like this place.  I'm new to Irvine, but so far this is my favorite Korean place.  Where's the best Korean BBQ place around here?  I've been to the place on Jeffrey next to Taiko (kind remember the name), but I was sorely disappointed.

Are you talking all you can eat or just a place that serves KBBQ?

There is ShikDoRak as Homer mentioned (and a favorite of PStar), there is also Korea House on Jeffrey and Michelson and Arirang on Barranca in Woodbridge (across the street from Ruby's).

Also... the various tofu soup restaurants in Irvine often sell KBBQ (usually bulgogi and kalbi)... the one in Diamond Jamboree is 24 hours I think.

Yes, Shik Do Rak was the place I didn't care for, and we didn't even order the AYCE, which has the corresponding quality.

I will have to try Korea House and Arirang, thanks irvinehomeowner.  I'm loving Irvine, but I do miss my Parks BBQ and Chosun in K-Town.  The galbi at Dae Myoung Ok is pretty good, but my other half prefers the real BBQ places with the grill on the table, even though we have a toddler (that's how much he loves meat).

For the buffet style AYCE... there is Seoul Garden in Tustin off of Red Hill and El Camino Real.
