Hi,

Thinking of taking the cruise from San Diego....we lived in HB, after reading review from cruisecritcs....still haven't a clue where to park the car. Most of the cruisers are out of state so they buy one of those package, hotel, park and transfer....we don't want to do htat, since it is only a short drive from HB. Any recommendation to where we can park the car for 5 days?

Thanks,

Cori

don't know which cruise you're looking at but there's also san pedro/long beach.

Take the Amtrak down to San Diego. When I was going down to San Diego to watch a Padres game last year, 3/4 of the Amtrak was full of cruise line passengers from the LA area. The distance from the Amtrak station to the docks is less than 5 min walking. I suggest you have someone you know drop you off at an Amtrak station near you and ask them to pick you up after you return by meeting up with you at the Amtrak station. The closest Amtrak station to HB is in Santa Ana. Hope that helps.

I remember there is an Amtrak train station in Irvine right? Does anyone know if it is safe to park there for the whole week?

There is an Amtrak station in Irvine near Irvine Spectrum.

The address to the Irvine station is as follows:

15215 Barranca Pkwy, Irvine, CA

(949) 753-9713

The address to the one in Santa Ana is:

1000 E Santa Ana Blvd

Santa Ana, CA 92701

(714) 547-8389

Use google maps for directions and finding out the distance from your current location.
