Crown Molding, hardwood floor upgrade

HI all. I just bought one of the 2010 collections and I am wondering if I should upgrade the crown molding, hardwood floor or do all with contractor after closing escrow? The cost for crown molding is about 900-1100 per room. The hardwood price varies.

>:( Run away & don't look back. Get it done after. You could do ~ %50 less with contractor and you can pick whatever you like. They wanted 37.5K for wood flooring & crown molding throughout my house & I got it done by license contractor for 20K with the more expensive wood.

Now the trick is to find the good contractor. Good luck.
 
dont go through the builder.  also, you don't want to pay property tax on your upgrades!  there are plenty of reputable contractors for that type of work.  i advised my coworker who save $18K in flooring alone on their 3600sq foot home in Chino Hills.
