Cream Pan, Tustin

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I wanted to visit this place... we were across the street at Roma D'Italia.

Is this a Vietnamese bakery? The Mrs. says it is but I had my doubts... goog-fu'd it and came up with Japonaise... Japanese French. What the what? When did France invade Japan... or vice versa?

Whenever I go to that strip where Roma D'Italia is, I always scratch my head at that little infill development behind it. I remember when those homes were built as I lived near there at the time. Cute homes. Just a weird spot to put them.

I would love to live there...Honda-ya, Cream Pan, Long Hai all within walking distance.  I can stumble across the street after a pitcher of Kirin and some chicken gizzard skewers. :)

Has anyone tried that BBQ joint diagnoal from Roma D'Italia?

How do you like Roma D'Italia?  what are your favorite dishes?  I went to Tustin Roadhouse for BBQ across the street, not impressed.

It's pretty good... but I usually get the Minestrone or Chicken Rice soup and an antipasto salad. The Mrs. likes the fresh clams with red sauce.

The spaghetti at Tutto Famiglia in Lake Forest is much better.

So I finally got some stuff from this place.

The first time we went, they were all out so this time we went earlier. They were out of the strawberry/banana croissants but they had the hot item... the strawberry croissants. Got a box of 6... half were gone there, the other half that night. Also picked up the almond croissants... those were awesome too.

It was insane because when we first got there, no line, but later it was out the door and they ran out of the strawberry croissants.

It's like a Japanese 85c.

@Homie: That BBQ place closed down... it's a seafood restaurant now.

Homie is sad

Wished they stayed open later to coincide with dessert after Hondaya.  That would be a perfect meal for me.

Talk to Honda-ya's manager and see if he's willing to buy some Cream Pan pastries for resale.  There are also imitation products avail at Diamond Jamboree (cafe near BBQ chicken).
