They are honoring the misprint, should've been $30 off the 2nd pair of glasses.  Buy one or ten, get $30 off each.  This is in the current coupon book.  I've got a ton of 2011 FSA leftover, probably pick up a pair or two.  Frames aren't the greatest but at their prices can get some back up glasses.

Don't need glasses but where else can I burn some 2011 FSA? Do those diagnostic machines like blood pressure monitors count?

Over-the-Counter Eligible Expenses without a Prescription
Bandages
Eye Care (contact lens solution, lubricant drops, patches)
Family planning (condoms, contraceptive creams, pregnancy tests, ovulation prediction kits, etc.)
Home diagnostic tests or kits (blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, colorectal cancer, HIV, urine test, thermometers, etc.)
Incontinence products (Depends, Serenity pads, etc.)
Joint-support bandages and hosiery (knee supports, elbow supports, etc.)
Vaporizers and humidifiers

Thank you obamacare, now I will have to buy 3 years of contact solution to use up my FSA.  Unless I return them after submitting for reimbursement, that would be tax fraud though, almost as bad as claiming MR as a deduction.

Some of those things you mention don't seem to register as FSA-eligible at CVS.

I think I bought bandages and some eyecare stuff and I had to use my regular credit card.

check with your insurance, the info I got above is from Aetna, I usually just fax it in to them....instead of dealing with minimum wage hires at CVS

Ahh... I have an FSA debit card that interacts with CVS's system and automatically flags what qualifies. It's pretty cool because I can pay for my prescriptions and misc items on one receipt using my credit card and FSA card.

why the heck do you guys do FSAs?  use HSAs...the money stays forever and doesnt burn up like FSAs.

HSAs dont expire, they just accumulate and roll over. However, you have to be in a high deductible (low premium) health plan to qualify for an HSA where as an FSA anyone can participate.

And this is why many of us use FSAs instead.

I actually don't have health coverage through my work. I think I can join an HSA on my own but I think I would have to pay for the maintenance fees, etc etc.
