I just moved to a new house in Woodbury for a few months, thinking of converting the California room to an office.  Has anyone done this? It will be about 80-100 ft2.  What is the process to get a permit? Anyone can recommend a good contractor? Thanks,

For this kind of improvement, it is better to upgrade with the builder, converting California room to conservatory room which can be used as an office. If you didn't convert it with the builder, I would rather enjoy the California room. It is very nice feature and will add value at the time of resale. For the house with California room in Woodbury, I think that it is big enough for you to find a room as an office inside your house. But the call is yours, enjoy your new home!
