I've been a bit concerned of the vicinity of the Construction Circle in Westpark around The District. Does anyone know if there have been any problems with this in the area? I think there was a fire with some toxic fumes a few years ago? The place looks like a potential health hazard in otherwise nice neighborhood, but it's hard to tell. And it's hard to find information online about it...

I called WM and they said it's going to stay there. It's not moving anytime.

Over the course of last 150 years land was given to ranch foremen as bonuses. This piece of land and numerous others were developed outside the scope of Irvine master plan vision. Pockets of eye sore developments in retails, industrials, residentials and business parks from Redhill to Lake Forest Drive were developed without the "watchful eyes".

It's half a mile from the place I'm interested in, so it's not TOO bad, I think... I guess it's better than having a freeway nearby, so it perhaps balances out. :)

Thanks for the information all.

I am pretty sure this is the same reason why this property on Water Lily hasn't sold yet. It backs right up across the drainage canal to the industrial site. Otherwise this would be a pretty good home for the price.

I'm thinking there is a shortage of people that can pay $5000 a month, and would pay that for a dump (the word has a literal meaning here). This house should've never been built if it wasn't for the mania (built in 2006, surprise surprise)...
