Cactus Cooler Combo

Neapolitan

Tiramisu

Wondered over after a good dinner at Meiji Seimen... old stomping grounds how time has changed, at least the Stater's is still there..This place was pretty busy.. now I know why..

Saw Cactus Cooler on the menu and had to get it.. just like HS...  the ice was very fine and easy to eat.. kinda like the Taiwanese shaved milk ice consistency but not as pillowy.. definitely better than the Hawaiian ice or snow cones consistency.  They let you sample quite a bit... enjoyed my cactus cooler.. gonna try the Big Stick flavor next...

Oooo... this looks awesome.

Ddn't know a place like this existed... love italian ices and the last italian custard place was in the Crossroads center many many years ago.

Thanks for the rec!!!

Went back again today for more, got the Big Stick combo above... This will be my go to from now on, the cherry ice even has real cherries!  I don't usually care for sweets but this is pretty good.  Next up, Jolly Ranchers..

It does look good but I don't quite understand what is beneath the soft serve. It looks more like a granita.

That's an accurate comparison... Italian ice is very much like a slushie. The difference is that there will be actual fruit pieces or chocolate chips or what have you in it like ice cream.

Finally went there today... great stuff.

It's almost like Hawaiian Shave Ice with ice cream... the assortment of flavors is incredible.

I should correct my last post, slushie/granita is more liquid, Italian Ice here is actually more like sherbet or sorbet. I like how you can mix and match. The pics that ps9 posted are the small size I believe, the medium, they actually put a layer of frozen custard in the middle and on the top.

I think I prefer just the Italian Ice and with so many flavors, I will be going back to try the different ones. I talked to the owner, really nice guy and I hope they do well (it was pretty crowded when we went).

Edit: typos.

I was there today too IHO.. The owners has some serious tattoos on him. Very nice guy though :)  had the Thai tea and horchata combo and it was good!

The best center near UCi has a Sno Flakez opening up and there is already a Yogurtland and Spoons there.

This might do well in the center off of Irvine Center and Jeffrey (where iTea is) because it's next to IVC and that center is not TIC owned.

Homer can finance it, ps9 can design the menu... and I'll just watch... err.... manage. :)

If you watch it... Our inventory will be gone.  >:(

I've actually looked into opening or purchasing a tutti frutti type of place.  Didn't know if it was a fad or something that'll stick around... I should have bought into one 5 years ago  :'(

No financing for a while.. Got a venture going already and another one to follow if that shopping center would be built in tustin legacy  >:D
