Coffee

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Need a new coffee. I usually drink Pete's house blend, its super good, but I'm lookin for something new. Any recommendations on a good bag of whole beans to buy?

Don't laugh, but Taster's Choice by Nescafe is really good. It is instant coffee. I stopped buying beans years ago when I found this because it is so good. But when I was buying beans, I really liked the selection from Gloria Jean's. It is great. Good luck!

Pinon Coffee,

I love it, nice aeromatic and a ligher coffee (very light nutty but rich taste).

I'm sorry SoCal but I am laughing (in a nice way). You can spend a lot on beans, but for the money, I really like Trader Joe's French Roast. It comes in two sizes, the large size is $9.99 and a better deal. I'm not sure of the ounces, but it's seems like about 2 lbs., which is about 50% of the coffee house price and it really is as good as any bag you can buy at a coffee house.

Lee's Sandwiches Cafe Su Da kit. If you don't know Vietnamese coffee is the legally closest thing to crack/cocaine... And it tastes awesome.

I think the strongest coffee is Turkish coffee! Yowzer!! The Arabs are serious about their coffee.

The first time I had Turkish coffee I put milk in it and all of the grounds floated to the top. I thought the server didn't like me and purposefully left the grounds in the coffee just so he could watch me gag.

Costa Rican coffee is also very good. There are a few websites where you can get eco-friendly Costa Rican coffee shipped to you.

This is what I prefer also. Dark and full-bodied.

The big can has been shrunk, though. Used to be 2lbs, now 26 oz, iirc.

Thanks, Skek. I think I will make a special trip sometime to check it out.

I have heard a lot of folks rave about the coffee at Dunkin' Donuts of all places. It seems to be very popular.

BTW, I have a friend from Tunisia (their culture is very coffee-savvy) and he switched to the Taster's Choice I referred to above. I'm telling you, you gotta try it! The one in the red can is the best. Prove me wrong you coffee snobs! hehe

Hey I didn't know they serve Diedrich. I heart Diedrich's coffee! Diedrich is so good it makes you want to slap yo' mama. (That story is too funny.)

+1 on the the turkish coffee at keane

martin diedrich opened keane coffee and is no longer associated with the company that bears his name. all the diedrich coffees around here have been converted into starbucks. such a shame...

Graph worked at a Peet's while in school, and he's all about the Major Dickason's Blend. I don't care too much, so that's what I buy.

i like mcdonalds ice coffee! i just ask to add my own sugar because i can only imagine how much syrup is in one of those things.
