Cigarette smoke coming through walls

We live in townhome. The homes are made of stucco and wood. Our home is connected to another home.

We have lived here for about 10 years. Recently I have been smelling cigarette smoke in our home. Our neighbor is a chain smoker.

What can we do about this? It is strange this has not been an issue before.
