Choosing an IAC Property

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Hello all... I'm moving to Irvine with a roommate and we've been spending our past several weekends hunting for properties. After reading some of the discussions here, I'm glad I've been shopping around and checking CraigsList for prices listed lower than what we've been quoted in person. From what we've seen, we like Santa Rosa and Portola Place the best. (So far, anyway.) We're looking for a dual master w/ bath in each room, W/D, and prefer the upgrades (granite countertops, etc.) Realistically, we'd like to keep it to $1850 or less. Any recommendations? Any good finds that we've missed?

So far you are on the right track. Their best prices are on craigslist. They seem to be doing some sort of price differentiation based on what they perceive to be "internet savvy." Might as well take advantage.

If you really want to get the absolute best deal possible you should wait until 2 weeks before you move to go in. This is because they tend to have the best deals on units that are vacant, and they will hold a place for up to 2 weeks. Of course, this only works if you are not picky about the specific complex you want, since it will be the luck of the draw as to what is available at that time. But believe me something with your needs will always be available somewhere.

I looked at that community a while back and liked it a lot. Nice location right on the golf course, plus close to Tustin Marketplace but it feels like you're a little bit secluded.

BTW, their 1 br + den plans are also great, and it looks like they've upped the price from $1685 to $1825 since I was checking out apt complexes a bit more than 1.5 years ago.
