I take asbestos seriously because my grandfather died young from exposure to asbestos (albeit, occupational) so here is a head's up for parents. It is absolutely unconscionable but China is putting asbestos in Disney, Nickelodeon, and other types of children's crayons and crime kit toys which are being sold here in the U.S. at stores such as Party City, Toys R Us, and Amazon.com. The official verdict is that there is no safe level of exposure to asbestos.

not just the importer. everyone in the chain, the importer/distributor/toy store/licensor
 
This is another reason to buy new construction.  Pre 1980s homes can be full of asbestos.  I grew up in a house with popcorn ceilings (at a time when they were made with asbestos) and one of my favorite games as a kid was throwing stuff at the ceiling and letting the dust rain down on top of me.  Seemed fun at the time.
 
Chinese nationals won't buy their Chinese made baby formulas. They travel oversea and get a one day travel pass to Hong Kong to buy foreign made brands baby formulas. They don't trust Chinese bottled water. The rich would farm their own cows, pig and poultry. Many don't even trust the environment so they send their family to live oversea. They can't trust the air, water, land, foods, and products. They only believe in foreign made brands made with strict, trusted and reliable testing for safety. Chinese bragging about their GNP will end as the rest of the world catches up to their schemes risking the consumers safety for profit.
