Thumbs up on the spicy lemon garlic chicken!

Finally got around to trying this place.

It was pretty good. The spicy/garlic/lemon sauce is good but the garlic cream sauce is actually very good too (excellent on the baked potato).

The place was very busy (and this was around 8pm on a week night)... the specials are the best deal.

I also had the chicken kabob which is similar chicken barg and flat cut chicken at Luna but Luna still wins.

Luna is closer and more convenient than Maison... I am going to try OZ (used to be Chicken Dijon) and Panini Cafe next on my "Mediterranean" chicken tour.

Risking your life for a delicious meal!
Hehe... my kids always rate if a neighborhood is "safe" based on the number of homeless people walking around asking for handouts.

Now that they see them off of Irvine freeway offramps... it must be time to move to Johns Creek.

I've been saying this for months, Chicken Maison is by far the best Mediterranean meal in the area. I live in Irvine but my wife and I will routinely make the freeway drive to Bristol for their chicken kabob or kabob feast. Luna Grill is overpriced and their meals only appear bigger by the large servings of rice. The price comparison is about $9 versus $12. Maison's Kabob Feast is a great deal and will stuff a family of four and quite possibly six if kids are involved for $39. Also, don't regret selecting the regular hummus as a side.

The owner won't commit to expanding south yet, but the vacancies in Woodbridge's Alton Square would make a great addition.

How does it compare to Panini Cafe?

I've never been to Panini Cafe, but in taking a quick glance at the menus I would offer these thoughts.

Ambience: Panini Cafe; Chicken Maison conducts all orders at a counter and is very basic in seating
Price: Chicken Maison
Taste: no basis for judgement, although we are huge fans of Chicken Maison (excluding the drive)
