Any tips on changing a high recessed light that is over a stairway?  I'm changing my incandescent bulbs to LEDs and there is one in the middle of my stairway that I can't figure out how to get to.  I was thinking about one of those pole extender light changers, but the LED bulb is quite heavy and I'm wondering if it can hold the weight.  Any suggestions?

Pole extender works fine.  I've changed that bulb lots of times.  I recently changed all my bulbs to LED also.  Damn, that was expensive.

Any suggestions on which one to go with?  Luckily, I got in on a pretty good deal.  $8/bulb.  Still not cheap though.. 20 lights.

How do you get the deal? Are they dimmable?

I bought this one from home depot.

It works fine.  Make sure you use the suction cup attachment for recessed lights.

Yes, they are dimmable.  Got them shipped from east coast Lowes with a large utility subsidy.  Loophole has been closed though..
