Carpet Recommendations

For our new home build we've opted for the standard flooring throughout so we can upgrade after the close of escrow, but I'm hoping we can get a recommendation from you fine folks.

We've seen Venetian Flooring Systems praised on TI, however they appear to only do hardwood floors and we're only interested in carpet (except in the wet areas where we'll need to replace the standard vinyl with ceramic tiles).

We got a quote via Costco for a previous home purchase that subsequently fell through and I'm hoping there's another local company who might be worth consulting. Any thoughts?

We used New York Carpets in Fullerton. They use seconds but it's inexpensive for the quality you get.

I used Tompkins Flooring for my carpet...I was happy with their service, quality, and price and have recommended them to my clients.

Thanks irvinehomeowner for mentioning Owner's Issues. I wasn't even aware such a board existed. Looks like it has lots of content I'll need to rummage through as we also need to decide on garage floor epoxy, patio landscaping/hardscaping, water softening, shutters, etc. etc. Hopefully we'll find useful information on vendors for all the services we need.
