So bones pointed out the chemicals in the foam mats, so what we did to replace the foam tiles was go to home depot and got a customized carpet bound to replace the foam tiles. The carpet was like $2-$3 sq ft, the binding cost $2.25 per linear foot (the minimum charge is $60), took about 1.5 weeks for them to do. Then we bought two rolls of carpet pad ($25 for a roll of 6x8 ft located in aisle 18 at Tustin Marketplace Home Depot) to put under the rug. Now the area is nice and cushy vs the foam tiles that were kind of hard and definitely uncomfortable to sit on and the rug looks a hell of a lot better than those stupid alphabet tiles.
so a thanks goes to bones and i think CZ who once mentioned that carpet binding was available at home depot/lowes. maybe bones gets a partial thanks though, i removed the foam tiles with cancer causing chemicals in it only to replace it with carpet padding that came with a prop 65 warning
although her immune system is strong, she has been building up resistance to cancer causing chemicals for the last 7 months, that thanks goes to columbus square!
