Can we make two offers at once ?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Anything is possible if worded correctly. Your offer would have to include a contingency that you would only be able to open escrow on one home (assuming you didn't mean to buy two houses). If this is made clear to the sellers and they still accept your offer, you would be okay. Otherwise, there might be legal ramifications to your offers.

oh boy....I don't want to buy two houses....I like both, and I want to see which one come back with our offers. My agent told me I have 17 days to back out of the offers....so I thought why not? Make offers on both homes and see which one is willing to sell to us with our asking price.

Not a good idea unless the offers are contingent upon not getting the other offer accepted. I recommend you work with an attorney on that issue since a RE agent might bungle the situation leaving you on the hook for two offers.

Well...none of them come back with the counter offers yet. So, I guess when they counter offer, which I know they will, I guess I won't counter back, that way at least one will drop and we will be okay right?

Hoping for one or the other isn't going to work esp. if both end up accepting!!

See which one you like better, and then lowball on the other... so you don't end up having 2 homes accepted. You're basically hoping for acceptance on the first one, and fishing for a counter on the second. If you get countered on both, then at that point you can basically choose which home you want to take!

Did you put an "offer expiration" ? If the first gets accepted, then let the second one expire or maybe just back out of it.

The price we offering...I doubt it if we even get it. I was worry last night, but hubby said if they accept our lowball offers, he will buy both. He is confident and I am worry warp.

They both are okay. I just want to move to a place where it comparable to rent. Landlord called and want to raise rent.

The rejected one is bigger, but kitchen is old, better neighborhood, but noisy . The other one is smaller, but nicer kitchen and quitier.

If everything falls to pieces and you don't end up purchasing either, will you divulge to the rest of community how much and what for?

Sure....free market.

The first offer listed it at $ 417K, we offer $ 400K with closing cost, HOA transfer, Inspection fee, terminte inspection fee. Some ding dong comes in and offer full price according to the listing agent. ( I originally wanted to offer at $ 380K with closing cost, but since hubby like it so much...blah blah blah). He told me with my lowball offers, I will never able to buy anthing. ( That is the whole point, I want to wait until the end of the year, he wants to buy, because landlord is raising our rent). I thought my offer was very reasonable....and for a moment there I seriously thought we would get the house.

I have been tracking houses which I made offered and got rejected. All of these are REO....All of these were offered very very close to the asking price. There was an REO house which we like a lot, listing it for $ 460K...we offered $ 410...of course got rejected again. It is a small world, that same house was sold to a friend of mine for $ 480....yes, 20K more than asking price. We found out today, since they told us they were moving and it turn out it was the same house. 20k MORE THAN THE ASKING PRICE......I know they are our friend, but that is such a ding dong....and on top of it, this house will have two families living there. There goes the neighborhood.

My other offers, I should know by the end of this week....will keep you posted....I hope I get this one, since the price is so low, we can live on one income.

My agent doesn't mind making the offers, since it is REO, it is not someone home, so no one was insulted....except me, when I got rejected. I was hoping for a thank you letter for buying the house from the bank ( LOL).
