Just finished taking the 5 hour california broker exam in la.  I am so glad it is over with as it was no Mickey mouse exam. Looking forward to flying back to family tonight.

Why are you getting a CA broker license? I thought you were moving to Georgia and not looking back?

Shouldn't you be looking into a GA broker license since that place is the "next Irvine"?

Let's just say that Panda is a smart cookie and taking advantage of a loophole that might get closed.  Or maybe he wants to be my future broker.  ;)

Let us know when you pass.

Well... considering it was a 5 hour no mickey mouse exam that he had to fly away from his family from... I hope there was a reason/loophole.

Congrats, Panda!

Thanks IR2, but i don't know if i passed yet. The exam was pretty tough.. but i know I gave it my best shot on Monday. I think the DRE lady told me that the pass rate is about 48% for the broker state exam. I will let you guys when I find out. I think i find out tomorrow :)

If there's anybody smart enough and well-equipped to take the test, it's you, Panda. I have no doubts you will pass (but if you don't, there's always a next time! It took JFK, Jr. 3 tries to pass the bar exam so don't feel bad if you do this more than once.) How exciting for you!

Trojanman.. sorry for keeping you hanging. I just found out today that i passed. I didn't pass when i took the exam in December and I was pretty hard on myself, but my wife encouraged me to try again. I am so glad it is over with. :)

Thanks T-man. Let me know if you ever decide to get your broker license. I still have all my notes and study materials.

Congrats!! Was it really really tough?  I am also thinking of entering the real estate field!! :)

Hi Homer, both times, I felt the exam was pretty tough. The second half of the exam was definitely tougher than the first half of the exam. I finished the entire book of 2700 test questions that RETrainers gives you and there were a lot of questions on the second half of the exam that i haven't seen before.  I was told that the broker pass rate is 48% and sales pass rate is 59%. The broker exam you need 75% correct out 200 questions whereas in the sales exam you need a 70% correct out of 150 questions to pass.

Keep in mind that my intelligence is more on the creative/visual side, whereas my wife is similar to Trojanman,  they are are both analytically intelligent. She passed her CPA exam without much trouble. I'm sure that Trojan or my wife would have no problems passing the test without putting in 1/2 the effort i had to put in. Unforunately, Ms. Panda has 0% interest in real estate. lol.

Waitaminnut... when did you get intelligence?

I'm kidding... I have more like Artificial Intelligence... if not for Google, Wikipedia and Dictionary.com... most of my posts would be gibberish (well... more than they already are).

I probably wouldn't be able to pass that test unless they let me use a laptop or smartphone. My memory has been replaced by the Internet.

It's so weird to see you say being analytical is not your strong side, Panda. You keep tabs on gold and the dollar... commodities... real estate in several different markets ("Building Wealth One House at a Time", as you say) and you just passed a written exam that only has a 48% success rate. Give yourself some credit, man.  :P
