Burger King says it will start offering a "French Fry Burger" for a buck, as it looks to fend off McDonald's aggressive push for its Dollar Menu.

The Miami-based chain says the burger will be available Sept. 1 through the fall, as it looks to drum up sales and customer interest with cheap new concoctions.

The burger, which clocks in at 360 calories and 19 grams of fat, is a relatively novel offering, but doesn't require any extra investment from Burger King; it's basically a standard beef patty topped with four of the chain's french fries.

I think Weinerdude is doing a chili fries burger and a chili fries hot dog.

Have you tried the french fry burritos at Del Taco? Pretty good. I've always like potatoes in burritos.

nice!  For years I have added french fries to my cheeseburgers at McDonalds.  It will be nice to it already done for me so I don't need to purchase a meal or an entire fries.

The large multinational corporations should have international "weeks" where they bring in a food or two to different McDonalds.  I think the Taro McFlurry and Sweet Potato pie would be a hit at any McDonalds in Irvine.

They don't even serve sweet potato pie in the south (where folks love sweet potatoes!).  But they finally did bring the southern chicken sandwich and the sweet ice tea nationwide.

When I was young, I used to love sweet iced tea.  My mom used to make it for me all the time.  However, now that I am older I do tend to like McDonalds plain black tea if I am purchasing a beverage.

I do a "half-cut"  Half regular tea, half sweet tea.

Yeah I think I'm going to have to ask the wife for some time off the house arrest for this.

That looks really good.

I'll be in touch.

That was hilarious. I love my food but not sure it would get that reaction out of me. Although about a month ago I was getting takeout at redrobin at the district, it was a Friday night, pretty busy. I called in my order, they said 15 minutes. I wait five minutes then leave. I get there just about 15 minutes after I placed my order, check in at the takeout counter (the bar). I see a takeout bag getting prepared in the back, I presume it was mine since no one else was waiting for food. About 10 minutes pass, I ask the bartender about my order, he goes in the back, comes back tells me it's not ready, yet I see the bag sitting there so i think well it must be someone else's takeout order. Another 5 minutes pass, I tell the bartender that I think that bag may be mine, he goes to the back and comes back with the bag. It was my order. So I lost it on the guy, cussing and Everything. He still had to bring my bill, in my head i was debating whether i should get the bag and just throw it as hard as i could towards the back of the bar, I didn't.  Then the guy forgets my wife's drink, he says its not on the order and then I yell at to give me the fucking drink that ordered, he gave it to me for free. I'm very particular about my red robin order, as soon as I get my food I put in the car and open the fries so they don't get soggy. And no, I didn't tip. Forgot to mention, one of the reasons that really pushed me over the edge was that some dude sat down at the bar after I got there, placed his order and got his food while my damn bag was sitting there. The same bartender was helping the both of us out. He should have realized that the guy got there after me and the fact that he got his food before me probably should have been a red flag to the bartender. I don't know how many times I called the dumb bastard an idiot
