Builder won't fix a crack on my counter top

I just bought a new home in Irvine. During the first walk through, we found a crack on the countertop in master bath. Customer care noted and said he will take care of it. Few days later, he called back said that was not a crack, it?s the fixture on a nature stone (marble); so they will not fix it. But they will offer me the credit for the countertop, if I accepted the credit; I will lose the warranty on the countertop. Should I accept the credit?

I would accept the credit. Cash back will go straight to your pocketbook. The counter can be replaced anytime. You will probably forget about the crack a week or so after moving in.

I second crucialtaunt. It's not worth the headache fighting the builder on this issue.

What you are seeing in your marble is probably a fissure, which you can have filled and repaired.
