Buenaterra, Founder's Walk in Buena Park

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Anyone have any opinions about the townhouses at Taylor-Morrison's Buenaterra or Olson's Founders Walk in Buena Park? Looking at 3 bed/3 ba in the mid $400,000s, but I'm wondering if that's too high for a so-so neighborhood right next to a Metrolink station (which could be good or bad). The salesperson at Buenaterra said there's no negotiating the price, but I'm dubious of that considering the market and the fact they've only finished building half the homes in the tract.

Also, what do upgrades like hardwood flooring and white cabinetry usually cost through builders? Is it better to just go through an outside contractor?

And one last thing, can a builder choose not to complete building of all the homes in a tract?

If you stick "Olson" in the search box (the one over the reply) you get about six or so relivant searches, but none of them really address Founders Walk. Olson has built several infill products in fairly marginal neighborhoods. I am only firmilar with the Depot Walk in Orange.

IMO the product is okay, the neighborhood is a dealbreaker, and the premium price is unwarranted. From reading your post, seems like a recurring theme with Olson infill projects.

I would be inclined to do my own math and figure out my net both ways on upgrades.

Your last question is the six million dollar question. If they are broke can you force them to finish the project?
